IPL 2023 Day 6

Hello and welcome to today’s newsletter.

Today’s match will be hosted in Guwahati as a home game for Rajasthan Royals, as RR have adopted Guwahati stadium. This is a really interesting initiative by RR franchise to adopt non-franchise stadiums (as home ground) to reach every corner of India and give those audiences an opportunity to experience live games.

Last Matches Summary

Match 7 - Delhi Capitals vs Gujrat Titans

GT had a good day-out as a team and now have 2 wins out of 2 games. GT bowlers restricted DC to below average score of 162. Then while chasing, a youngster from Tamilnadu, Sai Sudharsan played a fine balanced innings to take GT home, very well supported by David Miller and Vijay Shankar.

Only positive from DC’s perspective was a little cameo innings by Axar Patel. As we have seen him in recent India matches, he is in fine touch and playing beautifully.

Impact Player: Vijay Shankar replaced Josh Little (GT) and Khaleel Ahmed replaced Sarfaraz Khan (DC)

Player of the Match: Sai Sudharsan

Today’s Match Preview

Match 8 - Rajasthan Royals vs Punjab Kings

Rajasthan Royals have adopted Guwahati cricket stadium as their home ground for 2 matches.

Guwahati stadium has never hosted an IPL match before so we don’t have any stadium stats for now. But Guwahati has hosted some T20 games and they have been high scoring games as the boundaries are shorted here so expecting this match to go same way.
