IPL 2023 Day 5
Hello and welcome to today’s newsletter.
Last night we witnessed a short carnage in the last over of CSK inning with trademark ‘Dhoni’ shots by the man himself, although he was caught on the 3rd ball he faced but first 2 balls he played reminded us “Tiger abhi zinda hai”.

Match 6 - Chennai Super Kings vs Lucknow Super Giants
Wow, what a high scoring match it was. 422 runs in 40 overs. Ruturaj continued his terrific performance and now has consecutive half centuries in 2 games, Devon Conway supported him well in the opening stand but highlight of CSK inning was Thala Dhoni’s back to back two sixes in the final over 😃
LSG had a great start with Kyle Mayers picking up from where he left off in the last match but LSG fell short just a bit with Moeen Ali picking up 4 key wickets for CSK.

A fun fact
Cricket is the only sport in the world that has a "Law" that specifically prohibits the use of sandpaper to alter the condition of the ball. This is because sandpaper can be used to make the ball more difficult to bat against, which can give an unfair advantage to the bowling team.
This law was introduced in 2018, after a number of high-profile incidents of ball-tampering were caught on camera.
