IPL 2023 Day 25
SRH v DC
Hello and welcome to today’s newsletter.
We are starting 5th week of this IPL season and are very close to half way mark. Points table is looking very spicy with CSK on top by a margin of just 2 points.
Last Matches Summary
Match 32 - Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Rajasthan Royals
RCB played really well to defend 190 when Padikkal and Jaiswal had a 98 run 2nd wicket stand but RR lost bit of a momentum and the match with a small margin.
Maxi was amazing for RCB, and with Faf did most of the heavy lifting. Harshal Patel had a great day with ball and picked 3 wickets.
Brief Score: Royal Challengers Bangalore 189/9 (Maxwell 77, Faf 62; Boult 2/41) beat Rajasthan Royals 182/6 (Padikkal 52, Jaiswal 47; Harshal Patel 3/32, M Sharma 2/17) by 7 runs
Player of the Match: Glen Maxwell
Match 33 - Kolkata Knight Riders vs Chennai Super Kings
Rahane 2.0 looks like a reborn ‘avatar’ with the same style of shots but a completely overhauled mindset. I guess he is sending out some message with a bang. Rahane and Dube partnership was brutal and helped post CSK a dinosaur score of 235 on board, with Conway and Ruturaj giving a decent start.
In return, KKR fumbled, held some ground with Roy doing much of the talking, and fumbled again when Roy departed.
It was a dominating win by CSK with Rahane being the superstar and a signal to rest of the teams.
Brief Score: Chennai Super Kings 235/4 (Rahane 71*, Conway 56, Shivam Dube 50; Kulwant Khejroliya 2/44) beat Kolkata Knight Riders 186/8 (Jason Roy 61, Rinku Singh 53; Maheesh Theeksana 2/32) by 49 runs
Player of the Match: Ajinkya Rahane
Today’s Match Preview
