Hello and welcome to today’s newsletter.
Delhi Capitals had their first points of this season last night and Apple CEO Tim Cook graced Delhi stadium with his presence. Was he the ladyluck Delhi desperately needed 😜
Last Matches Summary
Match 27 - Punjab Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB had a weird evening, they had really good first half of their batting with Faf and Kohli powering through but they faltered badly in the second half, ended with 174 on the board, which wasn’t an amazing score given the wonderful start they had, but all is well that ends well.
Punjab’s chase didn’t quite get off the ground as wickets kept falling. Siraj was wonderful with the bowl for RCB and having a really good tournament so far.
Brief Score: Royal Challengers Bangalore 174/4 (Faf 84, Kohli 59; H Brar 2/31) beat Punjab Kings 150 (Prabhsimran 46, Jitesh Sharma 41; M Siraj 4/21) by 24 runs
Player of the Match: M Siraj
Match 28 - Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders
Delhi had a great night, their bowlers really stood up for the challenge. Ishant, Nortje, Axar, Kuldeep all delivered with the ball and restricted KKR to 127 only.
In return, Warner scored 57 and you would have expected Delhi to chase 127 down with relative ease and lots of balls remaining but somehow they ended up winning in the last over 🙄
Brief Score: Delhi Capitals 128/6 (Warner 57, Pandey 21; R Ashwin 2/23) beat Kolkata Knight Riders 127/6 (J Roy 43, Russell 38; Ishant Sharma 2/19, Axar 2/13) by 4 wickets
Player of the Match: Ishant Sharma
