Hello and welcome to today’s newsletter.

Happy Sunday and Sunday means double the fun.

Last Matches Summary

Match 20 - Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Capitals

It looks like opening position is suiting Kohli this season. Another match and another fine fifty, he is moved to top 3 run scorer in this IPL.

Delhi being Delhi this season, another lacklustre performance. Wickets kept falling as usual, Pandey tried to control some damage but it wasn’t enough to get them over the line. 5th straight loss for DC and they are sitting at the bottom of the table. Seems their X factor lady luck ‘Pant’ has been missing hugely.

Brief Score: Royal Challengers Bangalor 174/6 (V Kohli 50, M Lomror 26; K Yadav 2/22) beat Delhi Capitals 151/9 (M Pandey 50, A Nortjeh 23; V Vyshak 3/20) by 23 runs

Player of the Match: V Kohli

Match 21 - Lucknow Super Giants vs Punjab Kings

An interesting and nervous chase by Punjab, they seemed to be in control for majority of the chase and it wasn’t expected to go to the last over but Punjab is infamously popular of making their life miserable. Thankfully Shahrukh Khan did what was needed after Raza’s balanced inning, and helped beat LSG in their home ground.

Earlier, LSG had a brisk start with Rahul and Mayers at the helm, but they didn’t capitalize on that start, and with regular wickets falling, ended up with below average score of 159.

Brief Score: Punjab Kings 161/8 (S Raza 57, M Short 34; Y Singh 2/19) beat Lucknow Super Giants 159/8 (KL Rahul 74, K Mayers 29; S Curran 3/31) by 2 wickets

Player of the Match: S Raza

A Tweet

May be even Punjab can’t believe they won 😉 😁

A Picture

Love the attention seeking honesty 😜

A fun fact

The highest partnership for any wicket in Test cricket is 624 runs, scored by Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene of Sri Lanka against South Africa in 2006.
